Basic information about vaccinating of dogs and cats.

In the world of animals, as in the world of people there is a lot of microbe dangers (virus, bacteria) and parasite dangers, witch attack organisms, first of all very young and the possibilities of infecting are as big that they are almost inevitable. Furthermore in the case of virus infections, both medicine and veterinary are still helpless, because the potent antiviral medicines haven't been discovered yet. The most effective way of struggling against virus diseases are still preventive vaccination, made in suitable period (season) give the high level of antibodies in the organism and in this connexion they protect against virus infection. It is necessary to say that diseases against which we decided to enter vaccinations are characteristiced of unique infectiousness and big deadliness - especially in the puppies' period - about 98%. Only in this ease the production of vaccines is profitable.

Vaccines limit the sick rate
and are very beneficial for the whole population of animals, but they don't give 100% of immunity. In the case, when the animal is a vector (germ carrier) of the some disease, the vet can't find in out, the vaccined animal can fall ill, because giving the vaccine reduces the immunity temporarily and enables to appear the hidden infection. That's why due to many years' investigations we work out detailed schemes of vaccinating more and more potent and safer and safer vaccines. At the earliest dogs have been vaccinated against canine distemper witch is very hard disease, but thanks to vaccinating it appears hardly ever and only at nonvaccinated dogs. Another grave diseases against which dogs are vaccinated are: parvovirus disease and coronavirus disease causing acute stomach and intestines inflammation taking a course with symptoms of persistent diarrhoeas and vomiting.

To protect the puppy
the prophylaxis should be started as early as it is possible at its mother, which should be regularly vaccinated and due to it, bitch's milk has a high level of antibodies. It prevents puppies from the earliest hours of life, but after some it unfortunately dies away. That's why first vaccinations puppies must be done in the 6th-7th week of life using vaccines with foot-note "puppy" (specially for puppies) but this vaccination doesn't give the full immunity and the best thing is to repeat it about 9th week of life. It is called the induction of immunity. For sureness (to be on the safe side) at specially precious (valuable) animals or at specially subject to those illnesses (e.g. rotweiler) or else in the urban conditions, where as a result of animals'crowding always exists epidemic danger, so it is worth doing the first vaccination about 12th week of life and best of all, during each vaccination is gradual increase of antigens' number in the vaccine (there are vaccines which have 2, 3, 4, 5 and even 8 antigens). After done those three vaccinations at puppy one shouldn't forget about the annual revaccinating it as an adult dog. The choice of vaccine and way of vaccination is given to a vet, who has a conntact with that animal and he also observes the population of dogs at the area where he works.

Likewise we should treat the kittens,
which are also in danger by many diseases like: nasits and tracheitis infections, cats' running-nose, panleucopenia, cats' leukaemia, chlamydia disease and FIV (Feline Immunology Virus - it's the equivalent of human virus HIV), fortunately now we have a lot of vaccines against those diseases and similar to dogs' schemes of vaccinating.
